New Features -- Where Am I? Where's My Car?
The nüvi 700 series is the first to answer two common questions: "Where am I?" and "Where's my car?"

At any time, with a single tap of the screen, drivers can display their exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and gas stations. And to help drivers find their car in an unfamiliar spot or vast parking lot, all nüvi 700s automatically mark the position in which they were last removed from the mount.

New Features -- Multi-Destination Routing
This lets you enter several spots into the device (day care - supermarket-cleaners - office - day care, for example) and it will plot the fastest route. And once you've found the best router, the "Route Planning" feature lets you save up to 10 different routes, Garmin touts the feature for providing, "the most efficient route for errands, deliveries and sales calls." The feature also makes this an instant essential accessory for anyone who shops garage sales (you know what we're talking about).

The super-bright, 4.3-inch (diagonal) touchscreen display gives is anti-glare for ease of viewing during the day and automatically changes its color profile for easy viewing at night or in dim light. It offers 2d or 3D perspective views.

The widescreen format gives you 70% more actual screen area than a 3.5-inch screen. Primarily this translates into a better view of the area through which you are driving. This is especially useful in showing you what parks, restaurants, ATM, gas stations, etc. are nearby, or in letting you know whether a detour is a good idea. Also, the device itself is larger, meaning controls on the screen are more widely spaced and somewhat easier to push.

All nüvi 700s come preloaded with highly detailed City Navigator NT road maps for the entire United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. And if you end up missing a turn, or you're forced into a detour that is not relayed through the traffic receiver, the nüvi's sophisticated automatic routing will get you back on track in no time. Customer Reviews

Great performance but need some improvement
This is a great unit! Since there are so many reviews already, I am not going to spend too much time talking about it. For me:
Pros:
1. Very accurate guidance. Almost never miss any turn.
2. Instantaneous lock on of satelite signal, no waiting for signal pick up. Unit never lost signal even in city driving.
3. live traffics if you subscribe MSN direct or TMC traffic. Automatic warning of up ahead traffic jams. (Even though the traffic report from both subscribers is usually delayed, it is better than nothing).

cons:
1. As others mentioned, the map is quite outdated!!! This is my biggest complaint. I moved into this new house September 2007 and the surrounding area is totally blank in the map even now. I found my house from both Google map and Yahoo map 4 months ago, but not in the 2008 Garmin map!!! I can't use the coordinate as my "Home" location because it will route me throught moutains without roads.
2. There are too many "backs" to go back to the map after looking at the live traffics.

The newly out "Dash Express" seems to be better than many other GPS with internet connection and constant update of maps, live traffics and many other features, although it cost $10-$13 monthly to maintain. I hope Garmin can at least update the maps more frequently with a little more affordable price. Let's wait for more reviews for that unit and hope Garmin can do more to improve its units and maps.

Garmin Nuvi 760
I've really liked using this product and all it's features. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the maps seem a little out of date for my area (Reno, NV). Specifically, it wants me to get off the U.S. 395 freeway when heading south in Reno where the freeway used to end - but that was over 5 years ago.

IT TRULY TAKES YOU WHERE YOU NEED TO BE.I AM MORE COMFORTABLE USING THE DASHBOARD MOUNT VS THE WINDSHIELD,BUT IT'S GOOD TO HAVE CHOICES.I PURCHASED THE AC ADAPTER WHICH IS A GREAT PLUS.I CAN PROGRAM MY ADDRESSES AHEAD OF TIME, WHEN I GO TO THE CAR,I JUST LOCK IT ON THE MOUNT AND OFF I GO.IT'S MONEY WELL SPENT.
